MARPAC:  The Maine  Association of REALTORS Political Action Committee (MARPAC) still needs 696 new  contributors to meet our 50% participation goal.  Seventy percent stays in  Maine for state issues/candidates and 30% is transmitted to NAR for federal  candidates and issues.  Participation is entirely voluntary, has no impact  on membership, and counts towards federal election limits.  What we  need:  $5 each.  Why not write your own check, and also mention to others in your office the need for political participation.  It takes a lot of work to be successful, and unfortunately, it often takes a lot of money -- and sometimes PAC money is required.  Please consider giving.  Personal checks payable to RPAC, corporate checks payable to MARPAC and send  to:  19 Community Drive, Augusta, ME  04330.  There's also an  online form at http://www.mainerealtors.com  - credit  cards accepted.
